Swindon Phoenix is a club for junior triathletes in the Swindon and North Wiltshire areas.
The club runs regular training sessions, led by qualified coaches, to prepare young athletes to participate in the exciting sport of triathlon. We are affiliated to Triathlon England, the national governing body for our sport.
We welcome new members aged between 8 and 18. Previous triathlon experience is not needed to join the club. All we ask is that you can swim front crawl with face in the water for a minimum of 10 minutes, in a 25 meter pool, take instruction, and demonstrate the skill and determination to train appropriately for your age group across the swim, run and bike disciplines.
There is an initial registration fee of £20, thereafter training fees are £25 per triathlete per month.
Why
Youth
Triathlon?
Triathlon is an exciting multi-sport consisting of a swim, bike ride, and finished with a run. Junior triathlon race distances vary by age group.
Triathlon and being part of Phoenix provides our youth triathletes with the opportunity to train in a safe and fun environment. Training teaches our triathletes to set and meet their own personal goals.
Training and competition helps our triathletes to develop their motor skills in three key elements: Swim, Bike, Run … skills they will carry into adulthood.
